ATF Form(s) Stuck in Limbo?

Have you been waiting longer than the current wait times posted by the ATF for your form 1 and/or form 4 approval? Well, it turns out the FBI has been indiscriminately putting holds on applications (per a Reddit post). Many individuals (myself included) have had success with emailing the FBI at nicsliason@fbi.gov. Typically within a week, people have seen their approvals come through. Below is the email I sent and the one I received shortly after. Feel free to base your email on mine and send your inquiry to the FBI because you've paid enough and have jumped through enough hoops.
